Project Coordinator (Level 1)

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Level 1 Project Engineer / Project Coordinator (PE/PC) is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the project team through accurate documentation, administrative coordination, and disciplined execution of assigned tasks under direct supervision. 

This role is designed to build foundational construction knowledge, reinforce PR Construction systems and standards, and develop reliability and professionalism. 
Independent decision-making is not expected at this level. 

OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

A Level 1 PE/PC is accountable for: 

  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned documentation tasks 

  • Organized, complete, and current project records 

  • Professional communication and responsiveness 

  • Adherence to PR systems, SOPs, and documentation standards 

  • Immediate escalation of missing information or issues 

Failure to meet these outcomes requires immediate coaching and retraining. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Project Documentation & Controls Support 

  • Maintain project files including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and logs 

  • Upload, route, and track documents per PR standards 

  • Verify completeness, formatting, and accuracy before submission 

 

2. Administrative & Coordination Support 

  • Assist PMs and Superintendents with coordination tasks 

  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute meeting notes 

  • Track action items and follow up as directed 

 

3. Schedule Awareness & Tracking 

  • Learn project schedule structure and terminology 

  • Track milestone dates, submittal deadlines, and material lead times 

  • Notify PM of upcoming deadlines or missing information 

 

4. Cost & Change Documentation Support 

  • Assist with assembling backup for change requests and change orders 

  • Maintain change logs and budget trackers under supervision 

 

5. Field & Team Integration 

  • Attend jobsite meetings and site walks as required 

  • Support Superintendents with documentation and reporting 

  • Maintain clear communication between field and office teams 

 

6. Systems, Tools & Process Discipline 

  • Maintain accurate data in ProjectSight 

  • Follow PR SOPs without deviation 

  • Keep records organized and audit-ready 

 

7. Professional Development & Coachability 

  • Accept coaching and feedback 

  • Complete required training and SOP reviews 

  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and learning mindset

  • Incentive Eligibility: Discretionary, performance-based
