Superintendent (Levels I–V)
Location: Southern California (Project-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Project Executive / Operations Leadership
Role Overview
PR Construction is seeking Superintendents at multiple experience levels to lead field execution on commercial construction projects. Superintendents are responsible for jobsite safety, schedule discipline, quality execution, subcontractor coordination, and professional jobsite standards.
Candidates will be evaluated and placed at the appropriate level (I–V) based on experience, demonstrated capability, and field leadership readiness.
Core Responsibilities (All Levels)

Lead day-to-day jobsite execution in accordance with PR Construction standards

Own or support CPI schedule updates, look-aheads, and field coordination

Enforce safety policies, procedures, and jobsite culture

Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and sequencing

Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, documentation, and closeout records

Ensure quality control, punch list completion, and jobsite professionalism
Level Overview
Level I – Entry / Assistant Superintendent
Supports daily field execution, safety meetings, documentation, and schedule updates under direct supervision.
Level II – Progressing Superintendent
Manages defined scopes with increasing independence, coordinates subcontractors, and supports safety and scheduling.
Level III – Superintendent
Independently runs day-to-day field operations with full responsibility for safety, schedule execution, quality, and closeout.
Level IV – Senior Superintendent
Leads multiple teams or complex projects, drives schedule recovery, mentors Superintendents, and allocates resources strategically.
Level V – Expert Superintendent / Field Leader
Sets field execution standards, leads the most complex or high-risk projects, mentors leaders across the organization, and drives continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Commercial construction field experience appropriate to level

Strong understanding of safety requirements, sequencing, and quality control

Ability to lead subcontractors and enforce jobsite standards

Working knowledge of scheduling tools and field reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 30 certification (required for most levels or ability to obtain)

Experience with TI, occupied environments, or fast-track projects

Leadership or mentoring experience (senior levels)
Compensation Transparency (California)
Compensation is based on level, experience, and qualifications.

Level I: $70,000 – $95,000
-
Level II: $95,000 – $125,000

Level III: $115,000 – $150,000
-
Level IV: $140,000 – $190,000
-
Level V: $170,000 – $230,000
Bonus eligibility may apply by level.
